third album from these Aussie identical twins, and the only one I own
songs are mix of pop,rock and ballads....
these girls are very versatile,they have good voices whether singing solo or harmonising together...
"you ruin me" was one of my favourite singles by any artist in2014...
they deserve mre international success than they currently have,maybe with some support from their record company they may
achieve that in the near future,especially if they put out m ore quality material like what is on this album....

"smooth criminal" was not an album title, it was a track off his 1987 album "bad".....

its a good song,fantastic video.....

Alien Ant Farm covered that track several years later...their guitar driven 'alt rock' version was also very good

when I listen to albums online my first impressions are not always reflected later on, that's what you get sometimes(but mostly,my first impressions are correct)....
exceptions to that rule lately have been David Bowie' "the next day" and Eric Clapton's "old sock".....I hated both of them when I first heard them but I like them now....
this album was the opposite to those, I liked enough to purchase at the time, but sadly not anymore....
light insipid synth-pop on this one with very little variation involved.
not much in the lyrics or vocals neither...
I couldn't wait for this one to be over when I played it in my car yesterday...abysmal album that I couldn't care about if I never heard it again....

I had no idea she had as many different #1 hits as she did until I checked Wikipedia....
she started her recording career in 1949 as a sixteen year old, in 1954 she scored her first #1,strangely enough that
hit was in Australiawith "the little shoemaker"(which incidently isn't on this disc), as is the same with a few of these hits
not being on it neither,so this isn't a worldwide compilation,its obviously an English release of her UK hits....
this is a pretty good collection of predominantly 1960s hits, although I notice she is still recording and released a single in the UK as late as 2013...
her last top 10 hit in the UK was a re-recording of "downtown" in 1988 which peaked at #10, in Ireland she hit the #2 position on the singles charts
with another re-recording of "downtown" in 2011....
anyway, I thought this album would have fared a bit better than the score it comes out with, but either way, its still a reasonably good score IMO
