BLOODHOUND GANG "fire water burn" cds

sort of Jack Black on steroids i guess(yeh thats a good way to describe this single)
problem i have with most cds's is that they dont contain different tracks like the old vinyl singles did, they generally contain three or four mixes of the "a" side track, and this one is no different, this is why i didnt by many of these cd singles
this one reached #13 here, shame the video has bleeped out the "f" word in this track because it spoils it IMO

JOAN OSBORNE "one of us" b/w "dracula moon" cds 1995

i was, until a few minutes ago, unaware that Joan was a Kentuckian, actually comes from Anchorage(just outside Louisville)...?!
this "a" side track is a lovely blend of folk/country, its definately a song about God,being that 'what if God was one of us,just a slob like all of us"...
love the way she sort of tries to bring Him back to a human-plane...
"b"side would be what i'd call alternative rather than folky or country, its okay but nowhere near as great as the "a" track
single reached #1 here and rightfully so IMO

BILLY BRAGG "live in canada-ep" cds 1992

next cd single is an 'ep' of four live tracks taken from BB's 1992 tour of Canada...
these are four of his best tracks IMO and he sounds exactly like he does on record as he does live...
ive seen BB four of five times live, he always puts on an interesting show singing(warbling) his way though his songs with a bit of a vaudevillian stage act telling jokes, tap dancing, social commentary etc on stage...fun stuff.
single failed to chart here, hope i can find a link or two for you guys to view...
sorry no live clips from Canada from this one?! Grrrr!

OASIS "there and then(live)-ep" 1996

a three track live recording taken from their live "there and then" album...
two classy tracks on here in their signature tune "wonderwall" and my favourite Oasis track "champagne supernova",
also included is one of their singles from their debut album "cigarettes and alcohol"(live version is ok,but i dont like the original studio version for some reason)
single failed to chart here

ELVIS vs JXL "a little less conversation" cds 2002

this was the first song that the Presley estate allowed to be remixed/repackaged...
the original version from 1968 really wasnt up to par IMO,very average, but i like what Euro dj/mc did with this one to bring Elvis to a new generation of music lovers...
Nike bought rights to it to use in its commercials and it was also used in the 2002 World Cup soccer tournament.
single reached #1 in twelve countries and top10 in another seventeen, selling around 3million copies worldwide...
on the cd single is this version below, an extended 6minute remix of the remix and also Presley's 1968 original version.
single did reach #1 here becoming the second biggest seller of the year here(Eminem's 'without me' was #1 for the year, that year!),
single also became Presley's 18th UK #1 hit.

PAUL WELLER "uh huh oh yeh" b/w "fly on the wall" 1992

7" single still in its factory seal..
"a" side has a distinct Small Faces feel to it.
"b" side an acoustic folky track

i only set out to post my old vinyls and cant be bothered playing anymore cd singles...its all over, no more, kapput, finnito etc etc

but if anyone's interested i have some 50 Paul Weller singles on 7"/10"/12" and cd single, so thats a nother 120-150 physical copies, plus another thirty or forty cd singles by various artists...

the thread has been unstuck and will dissapear into cyberspace at some point.!
