Cool Another one that I have just thought of : the song "[You Gotta] Fight For You Right [To Party]" First done by The Beastie Boys in 1987 . Then done by NYCC in 1999 . Love both versions of that . Might just mention that as far as the second version goes I am surpirsed there was not just a little bit of lyric change in that . Where it goes "mum you jealous it's the beastie boys" Reason why I am sure I don't need to say ; though not that there is anything wrong with not changing it .

hurt by johnny cash is unbelievable, its as if it was written with him in mind, nin original version doesnt have the 'soul laid bare' that the cashman gave it

Joe Cocker's Version of 'With a Little Help' - far superior to the Beatles.

Another one which has come to mind that I forgot to mention is the song Labmaba . When it comes down to it for me it has to be the 1987 version by Loss Lobos . The version by Ritchie Valens would have been alright if only for that fact it's got that constent tapping sound all the way through it which to me totally spoils it . Quite anoying I think . Pity really as spoilt a good song there . In fact I could go on to mention how there are one or two other songs that have been spoilt by putting the wrong backing in them . Could start a new thead on that subject .
