Back to the old cd stack for the second of my two Eminems. This one out scores the previous
Slim Shady, just missing the love mark. What held it back was the stupid bs skits in between a
few tracks. I'm the first to acknowledge that Eminem can be rather offensive. And if I heard
some of the lyrics here by some other artist, I probably would not listen more than once. It's
just the way Eminem does it, is all I can say. Such a flow to his raps, and the way they are
phrased. The way Dylan did at his best. So aside from the sometimes downright sick language and
subject matter, the guy is just brilliant at what he does. One track on here I love is Kim, and
it's not really a rap. Close your eyes and it's like watching a movie. I always feel like I
just witnessed a murder when I listen to this. Should I call the cops?

Fantastic album IMO MH...

I heard this one back in the day at a cd store after all the do gooders criticised him....my initial thoughts were "christ people take a joke,the guy is playing with us,he's funny"....i bought this album that day and fell in love with the music of Eminem....

great album but he has two better IMO.."eminem show" and "recovery"..purely because he toned down the disgusting language after this one

i thought the novelty wore off this one a few years ago...not sure why,but it just did...
and like you "rock bottom" is by far the best thing on this one...a rap that actually makes you feel "sad"

This one surpised me. Was expecting a higher score. I guess the novelty wore off. One penalty
point for all the nonsense between tracks (not listed), plus two I don't care for takes it down
to a medium like. Three love tracks but I thought there was more. This is his second album and
I don't think I ever heard the first. Dr. Dre had taken the reins rfor this one. Never would
have thought an artist that was this loose with profanity and rapping about violence would have
got as huge as he did. This album debuted at #2 and won a Best Rap Album grammy. The single of
My Name Is peaked at #36 after going through some extensive editing. Several lawsuits came
after the release of this album. Most noteworthy was the dudes mother filing a $10 million suit
for slander. Two years later she was awarded $25000, of which she got $1600 after legal fees. I
guess that means she won.

rfering to the above 'slim shady' post...i have his first album,managed to get a copy online a few years ago...it was nothing write home about MH,sure he had the flows and delivery of those was okay.....
i really think Dr Dre fine tuned the talented Mr Mathers and deserves a lot more credit for his career than he gets!

sorry guys cant find the album cover art on the internet...

Aussie rap artist...got this one as one of those "store promo copies" from Corey back in the day...
nothing on here i do not like but neither is there anything i like...just ok i guess and i wouldnt change a radio channel to avoid it...

pretty difficult to rate something that i have no opinion of either way but i guess 1.6-1.7 would probably sum it up...
