That's exactly why i said above 10 or 20... that's not your top ten albums..
BTW I never mentioned which chart, could be an Indie Chart...
For eg: Iota recommended
Surfer Blood. Their song
Swim has been rated as the best track on
Pitchfork's 100 Best Songs of the 2009.
I hadn't even heard of them.. & I am sure most here haven't either.

I can't describe it

I give my thumbs down on this idea. As someone has already said (maybe yourself?) it should be music not many have been exposed to yet. That way they won't have an opinion going in.
If you use the skipscreen plug-in for Firefox you can find much that is already on mediafire, megaupload, rapidshare, etc. There's a search engine built into the main page. That may be an easy way to go about this music-getting.

But if we don't pick something random like this then there will be the whole "who's turn is it to chose" and "where is the rec stuff" - and if people pick something they could be annoyed if no-one likes it etc,.
This way then the chart will come out on what Sun/Monday and discussions can start/Thurs Friday? It just has all the organisation built in.
It can be a more obscure chart than the Billboard 100 - I don't want to start listening to the Jonas Brothers either.

So.. we should somehow get this idea rolling by tomorrow..
So please finalize the album.. coz that seems to be the hardest thing now.
For the first week we can just use the threads avaialble for discussion, until the mods think up something for us.

Seems to me a good idea to get it rolling ! It would be a shame to waste the good work done so far...I'll kept an eye on techman and see if I can get him to fix us a permanent site but for the moment, lets get started!:happy::happy::happy::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

As for the first album I agree with Surfer Blood's Astro Coast. Iota suggested it and someone else has seconded it.
Instead of relying on charting albums we could use the new releases lists Ed posts.
