[CRAZY-HORSE]

SIA  "some people have real problems"  cd  2008

another one i have never posted before...
her fourth....
for the most part this is quite subdued musically with one a few up beat tunes
another really good album from Miss Furler
not as good as the follow up (previously posted)
but still scores an impressive 2.3 meaning
I LIKE THIS ALBUM

favourite track:

[CRAZY-HORSE]

SIA  "healing is difficult"  cd  2001

technically her sophomore album, the debut was a limited release and impossible to find
the final Sia album i have yet to post on the forum.
so second of ten, i own nine
i really struggled with the first half of the album because of what is termed  2-step garage   style
but the second half was more jazz/r+b influenced and she even sounded like Amy Winehouse in places
album scores 1.6 from me which means
I DO NOT LIKE THIS ALBUM

fave was not a single:

[CRAZY-HORSE]

JUKEBOX THE GHOST  "everything under the sun"  cd 2010

indi-pop
sophomore album of seven, only one i own
lots of cool catchy pop on here
surprised why i never followed up with other albums by them
album scores 2.2 which means
I LIKE THIS ALBUM

favourite was not issued as a single:

[CRAZY-HORSE]

JOY CROOKES  "skin"  cd  2021

[CRAZY-HORSE]

AVA MAX  "heaven & hell"  cd  2020

a revisit

[CRAZY-HORSE]

MARINA  "ancient dreams in a modern land"  cd  2021

a revisit

fifth studio album of six, only one i own
a bit art-pop in places but mostly pop
vocals almost operatic in places having a similar quality to Ms Bush at times
yeah, its still a good album and scores a decent 2.2 which means
I LIKE THIS ALBUM

favourite is one MH picked as his favourite last time round

[CRAZY-HORSE]

JOE MUNGOVAN  "sugar, candy, lips"

from Lynne's collection
another of those Facebook artists who try to get an audience via giving away their music for the price of postage
i guess its a good way to get yourself known if youre up and coming and struggling to find the money to tour
anyway,
Aussie artist
indi-pop
nice jingle-jangle pop grooves here
its as 'laid back' and as catchy as Ben Lee
he sent Lynne a second lp/ep so that one is in the car currently
I LIKE THIS ALBUM

nice funky groove here:

[CRAZY-HORSE]

JOE MUNGOVAN  "another night, a distance from here" (EP)

from Lynne's cd collection
the second one she has from Joe
a seven track EP on this occasion
lovely indi-pop/rock on this one too.
glad she discovered this guy because it is another pleasant listen IMO
I LIKE THIS ALBUM

[CRAZY-HORSE]

MEN AT WORK  "cargo"  cd  1983

a revisit
Aussie pop-rock band
second album of three, i own them all
pop overload on this album with little hints of reggae/ska
a very good album in its own right but average compared to their debut
they were always 'happy go lucky' but theyre starting to become a novelty band here
album scores 2.1 from me which means
I LIKE THIS ALBUM

favourite was actually the fourth single released from the album:
