I think more often than not, your answer to this will depend on the decade you "grew up" in. By that I mean when you matured as a person. Obviously as a rule, kids have little interest in music. Once you reach the age where you actually process music, you develop an interest in what is currently being played in whatever media you are surrounded by. Thus you develop an attachment to that period. In my case that would be the 60's, a decade never to be equaled as far as influence on my musical taste. Those that have a sincere interest will eventually branch out in an effort to discover what they have missed. There is not any genre that doesn't captivate me at this point in my life. But I do reserve the right to qualify that statement with "some stuff just sucks".:wink:
