The Beatles vs One Direction: Which do you think hit America harder?

[kelandwood]

or how about this one for comparrison:

why dont we do it in the road?
why dont we do it in the road?
why dont we do it in the road?
why dont we do it in the road?
why dont we do it in the road?
why dont we do it in the road?
why dont we do it in the road?
...no-one will be watching us,
why dont we do it in the road?

i think One Direction win hands down with that one, that time...LOL!

Fair point, but The Beatles have far more profound, complex, and emotional songs than One Direction will ever have. Choosing a simple Beatles songs(which are among many) doesn't diminish that another song is just as simple. I'd actually say that One Direction's music is dumb, which is different from simple.
