People just don't listen to the radio much anymore and MTV is a joke. The only way to hear good music is to seek it out. I try to have music on and around my kids. I even put on the pop stuff that I hate just to get them interested. I am proud to say that they now like Mumford and Sons, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, Foster the People and older stuff like Michael Jackson. My sons chorus teacher had them sing Little Lion Man by Mumford and Sons, with the lyrics slightly altered. I loved it.
