LEO SAYER "the greatest hits" 2010, cd.
darn it, here i go again...
anyone here actually surprised i listen to Leo? i actually bought this one as a replacement for an old 1980s 'best of' vinyl album that went missing on the journey of life.
as far as im aware this album was/is only released in Australia to commemorate Leo's Citizenship in becoming an Australian in 2009...he has lived here since 2005.
Leo was a singer/songwriter predominantly from the 1970s, who with his falsetto vocals could sing/write in various styles of music, from pop, disco, love songs, soaring ballads and even tracks that could pass in Tin Pan Alley/vaudeville.
this a timeless collection of sing-a-long and foot tapping tracks that still sound good today.
for some strange reason i thought that this one might rate higher than it does, but thats the way it goes today!
I LIKE THIS ALBUM
I'm fairly indifferent to his music. Nothing too bad, but nothing that's excited me either.
He was hilarious on the UK Celebrity Big Bro show a few years back. Bit of a pompous, self-important prick IMV:
