CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:ive never been a fan of Eric,or wasnt until i saw him in concert 3yrs ago,he just blew me away, so im a relative newbie with Eric, of course i know all his singles and the live set with Steve Winwood but thats about it, but his new album sounds good to me,even though i have nothing to compare it to
That's a good sign then. I've got just about all of his solo albums and theres only a handful that I would recommend to anyone. Check out Backless (1978), Behind The Sun (1985), Journeyman (1989), From The Cradle (1994). I think you're right about him beng better live as I think the two live sets 'Unplugged' (1992) & '24 Nights' (1990/91) beat any of his studio records.
Heres a great track from his 'Behind The Sun' comeback album in the mid 80s. The leadwork on this one is just astounding.
