Yeah me too...I love Eric Clapton and i think he's nothing short of great when it comes to cover versions, but hendrix owns this song

i like Jimi's version...had to go back through the Clapton that i own to refamilliarize myself with his version, and also Sting's....

I'll take Jimi over the Dominoes, SRV and Sting but once many months ago on Youtube there was an absolutely incredible live version of it being performed by Clapton and Santana that I think is my favorite. Unfortunately, the video was taken down months ago and I've yet to find it again.

I shall have to investigate the sting version, also i must say that stevie ray vaughn version is excellent ,,about a year ago the band that i was in at the time played our version of little wing which was more like the dominos version cause i played organ on it lol
