Oh I have had some memorable experiences with animals and vets. Once I found a cat in my back garden with one of it's back legs broken completely in half and still running around with the bone protruding. managed to catch it in a trap and transfer it to a carry-case. Had to call the vet out on a Sunday (premium rate no less). When we opened the case at the vets the cat took off like a bullet running around the surgery, exposed bone flapping around all the time - it is amazing what pain animals can endure - far more than humans. Anyway after about 2 or 3 attempts I managed to catch it but was badly clawed in the process. The vet put the cat down, which is what I requested, and then had to treat me for numerous cuts and claw marks on my hands and arms. I was bleeding all over the place. It's a crap job but somebody has to do it. Can't tell you how many sick kittens I have had to put down over the years - well over a hundred by now. Mostly cat flu issues which eats their eyes away and they die a miserable death. Also someone poisoning them regularly with anti-freeze. Going to catch that shit one day. Every dog gets his day and his is coming.
