George Gershwin (1898-1937) - Greatest Hits

The lesser known of the brothers, Ira being the other, George's life was cut short with a brain tumor in 1937. His music crossed a lot of barriers. Jazz, stage, screen, but most of this is in the classical vain, written for full orchestra. Best know for Porgy & Bess, Rhapsody In Blue has always been his best work for me and is a beautiful piece of music.
