Yes Plankton!!! An incredible live album! For the most part I prefer live albums however their Woodstock performance and Abraxas still blows me away!
Plankton Wrote:I've been a Santana fan for a loooong time, and when he came out with Guitar Heaven a few years back, I was severely disappointed. A lot of his playing now days is just 'phoned-in' noodling using the same old worn out song structures. I saw him live not too long ago, and had that same feeling. I get it though, he's aging and he doesn't have the chops like he used to. I won't be running to the store any time soon to grab this new one, and I hope I'm wrong about having lost faith in his abilities as a musician. As for his best work though, I'll agree with what was posted above, but also add "Blues For Salvador" and one of his live albums "Sacred Fire: Live in South America". The latter being something I throw on Chromecast on a regular basis, and it has one of the best versions of Black Magic Woman ever recorded live. Those percussionists (Raul R.I.P. and Karl) are on point! The entire show is well worth a listen.
Here's the full live performance:

The ultimate connection is between a performer and its' audience!
