As a rule I just like classical music when it comes to instrumental's.
There are some exceptions of course. Frankenstein by Edgar Winter Group for example.
I don't even like those 10 minute guitar jams within songs.
I would guess that if you play an instrument, you would have more appreciation for the complexity involved and the fact that the writer of that music has a thought process when composing it. In that sense I do recognize the work that goes into it.
