For those thinking, "Why is this 1 or 2 hit group now in the Hallowed Halls?", reading the Wiki and seeing how big an influence they were can be mighty enlightening. And BTW Lou Reed was long over-due for this recognition...not that I'm kvetching about the others...

being influential is,IMO, more valuable than success on the charts...
we can even put Lou Reed in that catagory, couldnt we???
i can accept why all of these artists have been inducted except one....Ringo Starr.
sure, as part of the Beatles, but as a solo artist,not really, but hey, i dont make the rules or decide who gets inducted so good for him
