Not familiar with these guys except for the single Kiss You All Over which I love !

from my library (vinyl)



Local boys hit the big time. These guys are from this area and played the bar circuit in Richmond/Lexington back in
the 70's. When I moved from the area they were the house band for a local bowling alley/bar. Went to see them a
couple of times with a friend who was friends with leader JP Pennington. Back then they were mostly a country covers
band. Got signed and quickly went pop. Had a big pop hit with Kiss You All Over. That's the only thing I remember.
Funny thing is they are considered country by most. Not a thing on this one I would call country. And it's some
pretty bad pop. Only three tracks I can handle. But what the hell do I know? Album was a #2 on the country charts,
with four #1 country singles. A perfect example of where me and country parted ways.

Yeah, she is. I can't remember, but she released the title. Well, not the title, but she released a pic of her new tattoo and she always gets the album name tattooed on her. It's lovepop or something like that.

ABBA "arrival" 1976....from Dani's collection.

thought i'd randomly pick one from Dani's cds today for something different...
i totally cringed when ABBA came out!...man, i dislike these guys with a passion, but that said, i do love their 'super trouper' album!
boy-girl band, too poppy,too sickly sweet...was actually surprised that it scraped in with a like score though!
pretty hard to knock these guys from a chart point of view as they did dominate world charts for the best part of a decade, and i have grown to admire Benny and Bjorn's writing skills over the decades, but not this early material,sadly!...and ive been all ABBA'd out, cant bear posting links guys, sorry!
