Most seem to go for 'Lord of the Ages'

There are several ages of Magna Carta each with there own strengths and weaknesses

The early days are folk music and are represented by Times of Change...............This is a stilted sound and not a great start

The progressive folk contains four albums................Songs from Wastie's Orchard, Seasons, Lord of the Ages and Maritn's Cafe

Seasons is good ..............Lord of The Ages is the big one and all tracks are good..............Wastie's Orchard is cute and well written .............Martin's Cafe you will not find on its own

but, might come with Lord of The Ages..............It is different and shows what might come.

The rock band : Took a Long Time, Prisoners on The Line and Midnight Blue ...........These are good but have many contributors to the song writing and this dilutes the appeal a bit.

The last phase is the Chris and Linda phase................Linda is really underrated and is a true talent in herself...............However the band runs into trouble here..........many of the albums of this period contain repeats and are filled out with out takes.................I suggest In Tomorrow or Backroads and if you can find it Las Trierras del viento .( Spain only )

Finally there is a Live at the BBC album which is good too.

There are several live albums Live at Grassinton 1 and 2 , Live in Bergan

Watch out for the prices ........Magna were not good at getting record deals and the like so many are expensive because they are rare.
Nice to be able to go back to trust and friendship!!!!!!!!!

It's a mixed up sensation this being alive
Oh! it wears a man down into the ground
It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it
Oh it leaves a man weary
It makes a man frown.

we still have them, too many in my opinion, the one i go to also sells new vinyl albums....i go to a pretty big one that my mate manages he can usually get in what i want within a week and a half if its not in stock on the shelves, so either way i should have some Magna Carta over the next fortnight.

We do but they don't carry much and what they do have is overpriced and I'm on a budget so I usually give in to downloads unless it's something I truly love.
