INSANE CLOWN POSSE "flip the rat" vinyl 2019
a birthday gift...
a 'record store day' release from 2019...
not sure if the tracks were previously unreleased or if its a compilation or specially recorded for RSD-19???
only thing i own by this Detroit rap/hip-hop group...
always loved what ive heard of them over the last 20+ years, just never got round to buying anything...
humour and sarcasm throughout their music and their rap flows are similar to those of fellow Detroit homie Eminem and his group D-12...
love just about everything on here and liking the remainder
I LOVE THIS ALBUM
favourite
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.

PRINCE "hit n run: phase two" cd, 2015
from Lynne's Prince collection
his thirty nineth studio album
final one to be released prior to his death
what a terrible album cover!
second of a companion piece duo of albums (pt: 1 to follow soon)
lots of funky overtones on this one, some soul and a hint of bar room jazz on a track or two
a decent album for an artist thirty nine albums into a career
I LIKE THIS ALBUM

PRINCE "hit n run: phase one" cd, 2015
from Lynne's Prince collection
his thirty eighth studio album and second last release before his death
more danceable than "phase two" which i posted a couple of days ago
certainly not anywhere near the variation of that one but still distinctively Prince
"phase two" would rate around 2.1 as a guess, this one around 1.8
I LIKE THIS ALBUM
lead off single features Zooey from She & Him

ALICIA KEYS "songs in A minor" cd 2001
a revisit
her debut of whatever (who cares)
this one is full of REAL r+b/soul songs with meaning
after this it was all downhill bringing in rap/modern r+b stuff
an excellent debut album, like i said though, all downhill after which is a shame coz the girl could sing
I LOVE THIS ALBUM

from Lynne's cd collection
Scottish singer
reggae/soul/trip-hop
debut album of around ten
named best male artist at the Brit Awards in 1998 for this album
also won several 'reggae' awards in the UK for this album too
i find the album to be a reggae/R+B/soul fusion and it works quite well IMO
nothing on here i dislike after one listen and im sure it will grow on me over time
