and we, here in Western Australia have had 4 community cases of Covid since the middle of March and people whine about minor restrictions and rules to minimise the spread before it escalates...they dont know how lucky we are here or how quickly it could spiral out of control.

our Federal Govt has put a ban on anyone entering Australia from India whether they are Austrlaian citizens or not,
they have introduced laws to jail people if they try to enter the country via other destination points also (the do-gooders are up in arms about civil liberties and human rights)
i say to them, what about the liberties and rights of those who live here and didnt journey to covid hotspots!

at least India is having a slight downturn in official numbers over the last couple of days...
looks like theres a surge in new numbers in some European countries also, especially those around the Med.

seems to be re-escalating again with 1.6 million cases in the last 36hrs!
probably due to the rampant spread in rural India where a new variant is running wild and records over 400,000 new cases yesterday!

Pakistan is on the edge of the precipice at the moment it appears their Govt and Army are doing all they can to ensure everyone follows strict measures but Ramadan isnt helping the situation with Mosques packed to the rafters.
as one worshipper said on BBC World - "we fear God, not corona".... a recipe for disaster right there in that comment for sure!
