what's for dinner/tea?
Oh I have had some memorable experiences with animals and vets. Once I found a cat in my back garden with one of it's back legs broken completely in half and still running around with the bone protruding. managed to catch it in a trap and transfer it to a carry-case. Had to call the vet out on a Sunday (premium rate no less). When we opened the case at the vets the cat took off like a bullet running around the surgery, exposed bone flapping around all the time - it is amazing what pain animals can endure - far more than humans. Anyway after about 2 or 3 attempts I managed to catch it but was badly clawed in the process. The vet put the cat down, which is what I requested, and then had to treat me for numerous cuts and claw marks on my hands and arms. I was bleeding all over the place. It's a crap job but somebody has to do it. Can't tell you how many sick kittens I have had to put down over the years - well over a hundred by now. Mostly cat flu issues which eats their eyes away and they die a miserable death. Also someone poisoning them regularly with anti-freeze. Going to catch that shit one day. Every dog gets his day and his is coming.

I remember years ago in Cape Town we always used to go around to a mate's house on New Year's Eve for many years and invariably end up in the pool. Once the whole bang shooting match was completely starkers including yours truly. I blame Jack Daniels for that particular episode.

planning on going round Dani's daughter's place for NYE.
not really into that kind of stuff, much prefer being in bed early but hot weather predicted and the pool will be enviting...
and will make the effort this year just to make a symbolic eff-you to 2020!

Have no idea what's for dinner or tea because I have not made up my mind yet. Whatever it is going to be it will contain no meat. Going meat-free for a couple of weeks at least. Might even turn into something more permanent in the future.

we were given an air-fryer as a Christmas gift and used it for the first time this evening..
put some turkey wings in there with a diabetic friendly maple/soy glaze.
cooked to perfection in 15 minutes with nice crisp skin.
steamed some green beans and a corn cob each as a side.
