Have to say I did not see that one coming. Obviously England are a far better side than I gave them credit for. And remember, 2 tries were disallowed. If they were it would effectively have been a whitewash. A well deserved win for England. C'mon the Boks...

South Africa scrape into the final of the Rugby World Cup. They are going to have to play a hell of a lot better next week if they are to be victorious.

a South African acquaintance of mine put on a bet of $50 at odds of 20/1 for an England-Wales Final
he lost his money but im sure he is still happy for SA to make the final

A very close call indeed! That's how it should be at this level. Good on Wales for putting up such a strong effort - I think both teams played a similar game - it wasn't pretty. Anyway - glad we won and let's see what happens now - coaches are no doubt madly analysing and strategising.
Nice to a see a final with a team from each hemisphere. Go bokkies!  Big Grin

Note to self. Do NOT trust the head. Trust the heart. You beautiful Boks. I am breaking open the champagne. A wonderful day indeed. The only team to win a world cup after losing a qualifying game. Some balls indeed. And the speech by the captain after the game was even more important than the game itself. He did not speak about the game, himself or the team. He spoke about what it means to the country. What more could you ask for in a leader. He should be president. God knows the country could use a man like him.
