I read the news today, oh boy!

59 people are dead and 500+ people are injured. This is sickening and some of us want solutions for a change. I would like to see a reasonable discussion happen here about this issue, but that's not going to happen.

I gave up on having much hope on this issue after Sandy Hook.

Killings are going on all over the world and it is not going to stop. What can we do?
I don't think there is anything We can do but I would think someone took their eye off the ball
to let that murderer acquire all those weapons. Either that or he did get them illegally.

We are not safe anywhere anymore. Not like it used to be.
Churches used to leave their doors open all the time. Not anymore.
Sad to say there still is killings in the churches. Never heard of that in the past.

I keep my doors locked all the time.

I'm just afraid there may be more killings at these concerts Sad

I've been to some rowdy concerts in the past that fans could have got hurt bad
but nothing like that one. People got hurt at them but no gunfire. Just fights breaking out.
This was among fans because they were drunk.

There has been an increasing number of mass shootings here though. It's a violent loop. I think something is wrong on a societal level. One shouldn't have to worry about being killed at a concert tbh. Simply, Society won't get better if enough people won't work to improve it.

I would think amassing weapons like the shooter did would get the attention of someone though. I also think he found a way to take advantage of lax laws. I did read that he bought firearms in four States.

I have not heard the news today but I did hear last night he had help. I do believe that.
It would be terrible if there are more concert shooting or any other kind!!

I wish I had a answer for you Oceansoul. All I can say is people today are getting much more evil.
But, payback is coming for them.

I heard this dear man on Hannity say his wife of 32 years died in his arms from a head wound
at the concert grounds.

I have never been a fan of outdoor concerts. Too many problems. Weather and such.
I did go see Waylon at a outdoor concert. By the time he came out the druggies were pasted out.
Now we have to worry about being murdered.

Yeah, I heard the shooter likely had help too which makes sense, he meticulously planned it all. Apparently he was seen with a woman who wasn't his girlfriend before he went on his rampage so authorities are searching for her now. And he altered his guns too. I don't understand what his motive was.

I'm not sure if people have gotten more evil or not. Humans have never been a particularly peaceful species tbh and are flawed. I think some things have changed for the better and some things still haven't gotten much better. I also think we have our own modern problems now.

Very heart breaking what happened to that man's wife. I've heard of some of the people who died and what they went through. People there were just wanting to enjoy music and have fun.

Reason I say people are more evil nowadays Oceansoul is because of
all the bombings all over the world increasing.
Drive by shootings, more people on drugs, police have to monitor schools,
we are not safe anywhere anymore, and now country music shootings.
That is going to hurt outdoor concerts and I can understand why.

I am old. We never had to worry about such things in the past.
We didn't worry about doors being unlocked except at night. Now my doors are always locked.
We didn't have to worry about going to a concert and being shot.

I love country music and it is so sad that fans lost their lives at a country music concert.
Used to we would think that a country music concert would be a safe place to be. Not anymore.

That man was pure evil and there are plenty more out there. It is increasing.
Things have gotten way worse than what it was when I was young.

Ah, I see. I'm not saying that there isn't any ugliness in the world today. I'm rather use to thinking an event like a school or college shooting could happen near me.

The Las Vegas shooter was an evil man indeed.

I was reading about Jason Aldean on Youtube.
He really got some bad comments about running off the stage
when he realized the noise were gunshots in Vegas without telling
the fans what he knew was going on.
I don't know. That is just hearsay and I don't know what he was thinking.
But, I believe I would have taken a second to warn the fans that it was not fireworks.
Reading Youtube, seems he has lost fans because of his actions.

I have liked him in the past also but if that is true, not anymore.
There are videos of him leaving the stage so I suppose it is a true story.

lol
no worries
he will soon have a benefit concert to honor the victims
and all will be forgiven

Tune in tomorrow for the next thrilling episode of senseless slaughter........

It's none of my bussiness, but I have never understood a flaming word of  that gun law! Rolleyes

Oh no, that's not it.

It was said that Jason said before leaving the stage that
he did not get paid enough for that.
If he had time to say that, he should have told his fans it was gunfire.
Just might have saved a few lives.

Country music fans don't forget that easy.
Benefit concert from Jason to smooth things over will not help him with some.
From what I have read he will lose some fans.

Just my opinion.
