I read the news today, oh boy!
I call it the way I see it. Of course it's not going to be easy but if it was put to a vote to outlaw gun ownership and the American people did not support it then they only have themselves to blame for the senseless slaughter on their streets. There are screwballs running around in every country in the world but when you say to the screwball - 'hey go and buy as many guns as you want' then this is what happens. And it will happen again. Sure as night follows day. It's a damn difficult situation to be in but someone, somewhere in your country has to start a movement to get this amendment obliterated. The whole situation defies logic.

A horrific and senseless tragedy.

I think something needs to be done about gun violence. I don't expect anything to change though. These gun control debates seem to go nowhere.

Just too awful for words. Those poor people.

Watching the news as it develops - it beggars belief that an individual can amass weapons with impunity; no questions, no permits, no registration, no red flags, no records, no licences, no nothing??!! He had 42 firearms for goodness’ sake, not to mention a whole arsenal of other murderous devices – and nobody had a single clue? That’s a one man army. Absolutely crazy. Had a look at Nevada's gun laws - well that's a contradiction in terms. You need a permit to carry a concealed weapon - other than that, nothing really, and certainly nothing enforceable. You can happily tote around as many long guns as you wish. How totally bizarre.

Do y'all actually think changing the gun laws will keep criminals from getting guns.
No way!! It's like druggies. They are going to get the guns illegally.

I'll say it again, when they outlaw guns, only the outlaws will have guns.

That jerk/murderer passed all the tests even by the FBI but still got the guns.
He had to have gotten some of them illegally. That many guns and no one knew?
Yeah right. They knew. Someone knew but they would never tell.

If you want to see change then you have to make changes. American gun law is simply insane and has no place in a modern civilized society.
Tune in tomorrow for the next thrilling episode of senseless slaughter........

^ Gun ownership isn't going to be outlawed here.

I do think our country has a gun violence problem that needs to be solved. Sadly, I'm not very hopeful that it will be and necessary legislation is unlikely to pass. Of course I would still like to see solutions brought to the table.

Nevada's gun laws are pretty loose, as far as I know. The shooter legally acquired his firearms although he probably exploited laws in the process.

We need to stop making this a political issue.
People are suffering and dead.
Politicians on the left are in such a big hurry to attack the Second Amendment
when something terrible like this happens while people are in so much pain just to try and get their agenda across.

I'm not so sure the man got all those guns legally but I would think not.

One young guy in his 20s was at a meet and greet with Big and Rich. His name is Sonny.
He was one of the innocent people who was murdered.

It is a shame that the left can not even give the victims time to get through surgery before attacking them.

It was reported that the reason they were shot is because they supported Trump.
The person who tweeted that should be ashamed!!

Politics is tearing this country apart and the bad thing about it is the liberals don't care.
If they did they would give the victims and their families the respect they deserve
not as conservatives or liberals but Americans.

Country music has a variety of fans even though from what I have seen
are mostly gun packing conservatives but right now that is not the issue.
If there were liberals there (and I'm sure there were), they deserve the same kind of respect and time to mourn.

A mean and crazy person is going to get the weapons no matter what legally or illegally
and deserves a place in Hell.

I'm sick of the SA issue being thrown up in the victim's face and Trump too.
That is not what this is about. People are suffering!!

So, we should just accept these mass shootings as a fact of life? We should do nothing, eh? I don't support repealing the Second Amendment, for the record. I sure as heck don't want guns falling into the wrong hands though.

59 people are dead and 500+ people are injured. This is sickening and some of us want solutions for a change. I would like to see a reasonable discussion happen here about this issue, but that's not going to happen.

I gave up on having much hope on this issue after Sandy Hook.

Killings are going on all over the world and it is not going to stop. What can we do?
I don't think there is anything We can do but I would think someone took their eye off the ball
to let that murderer acquire all those weapons. Either that or he did get them illegally.

We are not safe anywhere anymore. Not like it used to be.
Churches used to leave their doors open all the time. Not anymore.
Sad to say there still is killings in the churches. Never heard of that in the past.

I keep my doors locked all the time.

I'm just afraid there may be more killings at these concerts Sad

I've been to some rowdy concerts in the past that fans could have got hurt bad
but nothing like that one. People got hurt at them but no gunfire. Just fights breaking out.
This was among fans because they were drunk.
