With so many web-sites offering downloads, I wanted to know people opinions?
I am using Itunes, mainly because I have an ipod mini making it easy to buy and transfer songs. But sometimes I am not sure if I'm getting a good deal or not. What do you use, and what is the pricing for songs like?
With Regards...

iTunes is pretty poor, actually. All of the songs are $.99 (to my knowledge) but they come in AAC format, which is like... 128kbps... Which is like roughly a tenth of the quality of a CD. I buy physical CDs then rip them into FLAC files, which are lossless quality.

Better yet, don't steal music. A lot of people are releasing their music into the public domain for free. For example I listen to free music at

I think its a great idea, who needs record companies anyway?

I've been using soulseek (a p2p program) for years. It works for me. I'm not stealing music. People are sharing it with me.

Hi,
I think you just go for eMusic.com. It allows to download free mp3 in every genre including rock, jazz, comedy, hip-hop, blues, classical, country, folk, children's music and more. Over 3 million tracks on it & it works with any mp3 players. Just check it out once to music downloads I hope u like it.

^ That looks like spam, but eMusic is a good source for mp3s just the same.

Ronson1, are you associated with emusic.com by any chance? :o_O: That does sound like an advert rather than a recommendation
