starting with the single that broke them (below)
it is fun for the basketball fans to sing in the closing minutes of a blowout
they don't have much to remember
the album was rushed out after the success of the single
the success of the single was boosted by the groups own label (Mercury) buying 100,000 copies to insure it hit the Billboard chart
then the radio stations put it on their playlists leading to more sales
thus a star is born
they use a variation of the na na hey hey line on 4 other tracks on the album
then it gets changed to sha na na on 3 others
this album sucks

Sorry, but I for one would refuse to buy any album with a cover like that....

My guess is, is that Steam were probably the Village People before they became Village People

her 19th album
just can't put it in the country forum
a few lean that way but this is a pop album
Dolly was learning from Kenny and selling out
paid off too as this was her second consecutive #1 country and her highest charting on the big one at #20
it remains her best selling album
it yielded 2 #1 country singles with the title track going to #3 on the pop chart

preferring this to either of those singles

MICHAEL JACKSON & THE JACKSON 5 "the motown years" cd, 2008:

disc #1:
a three cd set covering some fifty tracks by Michael, Jackson 5, Jacksons whilst Mikey was on the Motown label...
seventeen tracks on this first disc...
this one is predominantly the Jackson 5,
we all know their sound...
pop, bubblegum pop, soul, r+b, dance,
nothing too bad about this disc of their early material and too think young Michael(who BTW IMO, is the only talented one of the family)
has the "it factor" at such a young age...
even though this material is passable, its not a patch on what the label was producing in the 1960s.
all up though,

disc #2:

pretty much the same as the first disc.
same pop tunes, some soul/r+b and a bit of dance/dsco type stuff.
songs are getting more mature lyrically though...
a few more on this one I don't like though but at the same time a couple more I love.
