A Country kerfuffle and the aftermath + some singers

Sisters from a different mister perhaps?

No. And your name wasn't even alluded to. Even a cursory reading of your music posts could lead to sterotyping though. A convo between 2 women? I'm backing out of this one quickly...and staying out of it.

Sorry about that...it's just something we say around here (here, being where I live) when females, who aren't related, share the same views/tastes. Don't read into it, I didn't mean anything by it. All I meant is that your views on johnny and June seem to be how I feel about music nowadays as well. I was just ageeing...no more, no less.

Taking this a bit of a different way: There's a few singers who's "singing" grates on my nerves but the power of the delivery compels attention: Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits come immediately to mind, and Brian Wilson's voice is a sad joke. Neil Young and, yes, Johnny Cash aren't for every taste. I don't get the droners and groaners at all. Got any others that are "fingernails on a blackboard" to you?

The thing that I come across quite often is, when listening to a new "screamo" album (which I never care for but, hey, duty calls) I'll be five songs in and then all of a sudden there is this ballad, of sorts, which in all reality is not that terrible. Why don't they just sing the whole album. Case and point - Eskimo Callboy's new album Crystals. To my ears, it is terrible the first six tracks and then all of a sudden he totally flips the script and sings, which isn't that bad. Then he goes back to screaming the rest of the album...until the last track which a brilliant piano solo.

So my fingernails on a blackboard is anything screamo...and then to add insult to injury is when they show you that they actually have a little talent.

I read you 5x5. Here's a song about that (in my own peculiar style, natch): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gP0Loe6tVB0 << Universal truths from a truly evil man--read his unvarnished bio for details.

Okay thanks! I misunderstood. Glad we got that straight! I don't like the new "artists" either. So we agree there Confusedmile:
Sorry I did not understand you!
