I am discovering a lot f obscure stuff from late 60s early 70s just by typing into youtube and looking for things like psycadellia

SteveO Wrote:Just saying, there is a treasure trove of great fairly obscure albums by fascinating bands and artists that were buried for various reasons from the mid 60s to early 70s. I am having a great time discovering these albums that did not produce popular singles in the top 40..although I will say the Top 40 back then was magnificent, I wanted to buy all of the 40 singles!...lol. I go back to look at the charts from decades ago and several artists are very familiar. I have forgotten them while other artists are new to me! The new rock artists are not reinventing the wheel just continuing to rock on!

SteveO Wrote:^ Yes indeed Rusty! One of those unknown classics! Still sounds fresh today! Has rock really progressed in 50 years? I am engrossed with these great albums from the late 60s and early 70s! Some great albums on this list...I'll be parked here for quite awhile!

Great Site SteveO has presented. I especially liked their article on the 6 best covers you've never heard, especially The Dynamics "Whole Lotta Love" and Disco Reggae Band "Take Five": http://most-def.net/6-coolest-covers-you-never-heard/ Another article was on covers better than the originals: http://most-def.net/15-covers-better-originals
