Australia Day
#11
so where is your nephew?
the flights from UK to here used to take 24hrs, theyre down to 19hrs but its a long time as you said...thank God for the internet! and flying from Perth to Melbourne is like you flying to Moscow.

a lot of English tradesmen came here in the 1960s/70s so they still have that bond with the UK, once they die
i think things will change to become a Republic, we have had several referendums over the last 20yrs about becoming a republic and the gap narrows each time, the last one a couple of years ago was a 55/45 split in favour of staying with the Monarchy.

He's in Adelaide, and emigrated 7 or 8 years ago.

5 hours is about the maximum I can endure on an airliner, so 19 is a no-hoper...

Happy Aus Day!!! I myself am celebrating a good ole St. Patricks day in Eastern Europe lol. The locals know me and my brother around this time of the year... we spend a tremendous amount of our salary on booze.
