I can imagine! At least he can keep a beat, though. When I took up the saxophone, my family hated me for about three months when I passed into the tolerable category. I'd imagine that they'd hate me if I was as good as Neil Peart if I played drums!

LOL! We have a lot of instruments but my 12 year old likes the trumpet, I guess because he can actually get some sounds out of it. I can't at all. Entertaining at first.............then just loud

I've been playing percussion/drums for about 9 years ago. I was 12 when I started and now I'm 21. I have continued to play in college and am majoring in music education. I love teaching more than I love playing, but I still get enjoyment out of playing. I am mostly an orchestral/marching band percussionist, but I always try to keep up on my drum set playing. I get some practice with it in the ensembles that I am in and I take private lessons specifically for drum set.
