the history of it is pretty cool though. the direector got arrestred because people thought it was real. the guy paid the actors to hide out aswell so when no-one could find them he was in the !"£$.

Well, the animal killing scenes were in fact real and the animals were later eaten by the crew or the natives. The impalement wasn't real, I think.

Dunno about the corpses though.

I've never seen the film, but my brother told me that authorities thought the whole film was just a big snuff affair.
