Can wail on guitar...But can't sing a lick!
#1
Hi Sunnibear Here,
Been in Nashville for over 20 years. Helped many big country artists get airplay on radio. Decided to hire 2 of the best guitar teachers (2 distinct different teaching styles) to help me get to where I expected to be right now. My biggest problem has always been trying to sing. I've always been a pretty good musician on a few other instruments, but for some reason, I still can't sing! Anyone out there that can recommend a true tried and tested course or maybe a teacher out there? Would appreciate any input.

Hey.................It don't matter ...............many many guitar greats can't sing but still what they do is great even very original ................Don't get get a teacher just use your voice as it is .......it will get stronger and will develop a style of its own !
Nice to be able to go back to trust and friendship!!!!!!!!!

It's a mixed up sensation this being alive
Oh! it wears a man down into the ground
It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it
Oh it leaves a man weary
It makes a man frown.

Exactly !,,,,,,,,,I don't think Bob Dylan worried about his voice....he sang from the heart and millions of people worldwide love his voice for its' distinctive signature !!!!!

Like Roger McGuinn told Tom Petty, "Just sing!".

(And c'mon, admit it. TP sounds quite a bit like Bullwinkle Moose. That is perhaps why we have never heard a duet from Petty and Moose?!?

Yo Stevo, you are absolutely right... you can also add Willy Nelson to this list. I just started vocal lessons and quickly learned very quickly to make it my own and feel the music and the passion will show thru! Thanks
