It's a mixed up sensation this being alive
Oh! it wears a man down into the ground
It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it
Oh it leaves a man weary
It makes a man frown..............................Chris Simpson ( "Mixed Up Sensations" 1975 Martin's Cafe )

1) I Know - 1.5 - Took a while to kickstart. Liked the horns.
2) Down Don't Bother Me - 1.5 - nice slide guitar work
3) Don't Miss Me - 2.0 - some nice funk goin' on here
4) Rastaman Chant - 1.0 - too long of a jam for me. never heard the rastaman. heard some of the band snoring. nice flute though
5) Key To The Highway - 2.0 - what I was waitin' for, some nice blues
6) Get Out Of My Life Woman - 1.5 - more blues, but too long and repetitious and stop that wah-wah guitar
7) Anyday - 1.0 - I actually heard keyboads
Too much jam and not enough jelly for me. I guess that should have been expected with the Allmans spinoff.

Track One I knowâ¦â¦â¦.I should have guessed that some of roadsongs would be live! So, we are off to a sitar like guitar solo on track one â¦â¦..Immediate impressions were those of âThe Allman Brothers â in style, vocals are prominent and listenable, the over all balance is AOR and quite pleasant . Itâs a full sound guitar, drums bass , vocals and brass â¦â¦â¦â¦

Track Two Down Donât Bother Me : Nice comfortable guitar based sound which is overlaid with a good vocal â¦..I was comfortable with the rack and enjoyed what I was hearing .

Track Three.Donât Miss Me: A good rocking riff stats this track: itâs nice stuff , live can be achallenge for some artist to produce a full listenable sound , but here it is not problem and the balance is pleasing too. The guitar work is excellent and the whole rack is entertaining.

Track Four Rastaman Chant: Good percussive feel here at the start, moves into a nice m right groove, which is the basis for some guitar work and wind instrument work. If Iâm right this owes a debt to Frère Jacque! A bit too long for me at 11 mins!

Track Five Key To The Highway : More Of The Same .

Track Six Get Out Of My Life Woman Who Knows: A good guitar based groove â¦itâs a comfortable track but again at 12 mins I think we are into self indulgence

Track Seven Anyday Another long trackâ¦â¦.Its good quality but, too long at 9.27!

It is a good performance from more than competent musicians but, there is no trail blazing going on here â¦â¦â¦..
