Haiti: Dealing with the disaster 3 years later
#1
Many people don't know or realize that Haiti is still dealing with the earthquake disaster of 2010. 100,000 people are still living in tents. Although this isn't nearly the richest country in the world, you would think that relief efforts would have helped more. Clean water is still scarce, homes and schools need to be rebuilt, and the country is still in disarray. I would hope that people help in any way they can, even if it's just to say a prayer for Haiti! I've attached a video that I would hope people watch and share. Thanks!

This is legit BTW. Silvio Berlusconi, the ex PM of Italy told a group of people who had just been made homeless after an earthquake in a small village 'Just pretend you're camping - it will be a lot more fun' WTF!!!

I know that Canada infused a lot of money and also some military personnel as well as the RCMP with respect to Haiti. At the time our Governor General was Michaelle Jean , a refugee from Haiti which possibly accelerated aid from Canada!

The poor victims of Hurricane Sandy are still having a horrid existence from what I can gather...especially with the frigid temperatures for the past two weeks along the Eastern Seaboard.

The latest outrage to Haitian refugees and even long-term residents is the Dominican Republic driving them out of their country: http://www.ebony.com/news-views/blackout...itians-405 These poor folks just can't catch a break, it seems.
