Music Psychology Researcher
#1
Hi,

I´m a Music Psychology researcher at Uppsala University, Sweden. I´m mostly into Folk Music, Soul, Fado, Jazz.

I´m looking for participants aged between 18 and 65, with USA nationality (only), for a survey study about emotional responses to music.

The study is part of a larger project, conducted by the Music Psychology Group at Uppsala University in Sweden. The purpose of the study is to explore how people experience music in different cultures.
As a participant, you will be asked to complete an electronic survey on the internet. The survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete.

Your participation is voluntary. You are free to withdraw your participation from the study at any time. All responses in the survey will be recorded anonymously.

The study is funded by the Swedish Research Council and involves no commercial interests. Data collected will be used only for scientific purposes.

If you wish to participate in the study, or if you require further information in order to make a decision, please follow this link: http://eSurv.org?u=musicandemotion

If you have any questions regarding the study, please contact professor Patrik Juslin (patrik.juslin@psyk.uu.se) or myself at goncalo.barradas@psyk.uu.se

Thank you for your consideration.

I just took this survey, and for a few minutes, was induced to think about who I am and what I am--not something I do all that often.
NOTE: you will be asked about some musics even I hadn't known of or thought much about--for example Australian Aboriginal music and fado (sad Portuguese songs).
BOTTOM LINE: it does take just a few minutes, it's worth your time and you are contributing to legit scientific research. Now go to that Website and...

I took it. I've never answered so easily to a survey before. At least I know something in life. I know why I listen to music and can't imagine getting by day to day without it.
