Spotify listen:
nineteenth studio album...
some acoustic folky type songs, some orchestrated tracks, some soft rock/pop...
its not a great (classic) Springsteen album on first listen, but I think there is enough
there to hear something new and continue to grow with each passing listen...
ive got to be honest and say I was expecting it to not only disappoint me but also to be full
of anti-Trump themes and messages, and im glad I was proved wrong on both accounts...
its not as solomn/dour as "ghost of Tom Joad" but at the same time its not as catchy as the
acoustic "Nebraska", it appears on a first up listen fit nicely between the two as a bridging album/companion piece...
he almost certainly isnt going to win over new fans with this album and all i can say is that
it simply a typical Springsteen album...
and it is obviously on the to purchase list...
