Is there any research on how music "quality" depends on its popularity?

"cell" was a pretty scary King book back in the day...
came out around the time people first got cell phones and in the book theres a virus that gets transmitted via phone calls and
basically the majority of the US is a battleground between those who don't use the phones and those whp have become zombielike
who use them...
pretty original story then, but of course now, every tv show seems to be about zombies and 'viruses' in one form or another...
I finally watched the movie a year or so ago when it came out on dvd, terrible piece of work,
they should have made it when it was relevant back in the day.

on The Stand....was a terrible movie, I agree, but a very good novel.
I thought the movie was pretty good for a King adaptation because 90% of his adaptations are abysmal for some reason. (I mean it was pretty bad, but good for him)

I saw all three Crazy...all top notch movies!
CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:Shawshank Redemption is without a doubt the "greatest movie" ever IMO...

hey Jerome, theres two other Stephen King adaptations you should watch...Misery (james cann/cathy bates) and Delores Clairborne (cathy bates), both are superb IMO,
obviously not as good as Shawshank, but great thriller's nonetheless.
The ultimate connection is between a performer and its' audience!

Stephen King has always maintained that after he sells the film rights to his books, he doesn't care what they do to the story. I would think that since King has has little to do (Generally) with the film production, the movie suffers.
