Hey there everyone.

I am a big music buff, I like a very wide range of styles/genres and am of the opinion that every genre has at least some good songs.

I am especially fond of Classic Rock, including retro prog.

youre quite correct, every genre does have good songs, but with some genres(rap,modern r+b)the good stuff must get sifted from the sewer IMO!

we have big 'retro prog' fans here as well as classic rock fans...

who are some of your favourite artists and what are some of your favourite albums mate?

Can is one of my favorites from the prog side. Rush, Floyd, Tull and Yes as well. There are a few lesser known retro prog bands that I like a lot. Bodkin, Arzachel, Sixty-Nine, Satin Whale come to mind right off.

Classic Rock - Sabbath, Zep, Old ZZ Top, Beatles, Steve Miller, Aerosmith, Jimi.

Newer - Prety much all of Jack White's stuff, The Black keys, especially their first handful of releases.

Albums, there are a lot. I really like King Crimson's first quite a bit. Jimi's Band of Gypsys was tremendous.

Welcome to the site - I like a lot of bands you mentionesd. I don't know any of the newer ones, so there's something worth exploring. Enjoy the site.

Welcome mate! I am pretty new around here also. I love your taste, Zep, Sabbath, Beatles and Pink Floyd are up there with my favourites.
