Found someone to say Happy Birthday to! Whoop! Michael DeRosier – the original drummer for Heart. He’s 75 today – born in 1951, somewhere in Canada. He currently tours with fellow original Heart bassist Steve Fossen to perform classic Heart music live. He was also with a shortlived, single eponymously titled album producing band named Orion the Hunter and another called Alias. I see that he is credited for various composing work, and production, so I guess he is likely to one of the myriad unsung musos who quietly ply their trade in the background and without whom, the foundations of the biz would be very wobbly indeed. Here’s to him then! …
