Jerome Wrote:It's funny how you latched onto that 'panoramic' thing. I was actually walking along a hiking trail on the Amalfi Coast in Italy when this one popped into my head. (The Walk of the Gods) - a trail high up on top of the mountain with sea way down below. That's why I tried to create the sound of the waves in the beginning as if they were far away but still audible.
And as for panoramic views - the piece is called 'The Great Expanse' - go figure!
Can't see the attachment for some or other reason??!??
Wow! I just watched a video of the walk, and can
completely see why this music popped into your head (for some reason it sounds like evening to me...no idea why). I think there is a problem loading images (I just read it over on the new pups thread where Music Head said he'd had to find a way to circumvent the system through FB or something), here's a link to the photo I tried to attach (the first picture on the page is the one I tried to attach).

Everyone has an Angel: a Guardian who watches over us. We can't know what form they'll take. One day, old man. Next day, little girl. But don't let appearances fool you, they can be as fierce as any dragon. Yet they're not here to fight our battles, but to whisper from our heart. Amalfi Coast is my favourite spot in the world. Really stunning scenery and it does not have that touristy feel to the place. Very laid back and peaceful. I normally go to a place called Praiano which is about halfway between Positano and Amalfi.

That is absolutely breathtaking, Jerome! Some day I'm going to take this walk...hopefully with your music on my iPod!

I am an avid audio book and radio documentary fan!!! My imagination runs wild and I am totally immersed in the story!!!! ..and then there is my favourite radio music show on CBC
....Signals ...new age, progressive and the avant garde!

As far as your idea goes, Jerome, I love it! What a fantastic idea! Radio shows used to have music to accompany the story, why not a short story in audio form! I have to admit that I have not been a huge fan of audio books (*cough*controlfreak*cough*), but I'm trying to give them a chance. I eased into the audio scene with the Harry Potter books because I loved the man who read them (his name escapes me right now). I'm working up to others. *laughs*
Cheers!

Alright, then Jerome and I will have to work on a project just for you, SteveO!! Thank you for pointing me toward
Signals! I've signed up for the CBC, but I'm not entirely sure that I'll be able to hear the program since you all have some kind of irrational rules about...oh, I don't know...copyright and some such nonsense about things not being allowed to leave Canada via the airwaves. Sheesh. You folks and your laws that actually protect people's rights (and lives)... *laughs*

I may have given that impression but really I just come across bits-and-pieces and sometimes a link to a particular site, quote it then on to the next adventure. I am really scatter-shot. An email or even phone call to CBC might be in order. Not to continue a stereotype, but even when Canada barred my entry (youthful indiscretions) they were polite about it and paid my way back to a US city.

I'll see what I can find out, guys! I can't listen in yet, but I'm not giving up hope!
And jazzbo, um, this deportation from Canada may warrant some discussion!!! You are a very very interesting guy...who now has a mysteriously (shady?) past! Intriguing, very intriguing. *laughs*
