so being a Floydophile Jerome what would be your take on the 'birdcage/birds' then????
my take is:
those last tracks from the band that formed "endless river" were locked in a cage and Gilmour had to release them to set himself free,
thus, now he has exorcised those songs(demons), he has 'freed' himself from the cage/prison that he was in??
I was probably way off the mark because I don't know how he thinks/perceives not only himself but PF also....

Not sure what you mean but in the Endless River booklet there is a picture of an empty cage with the door open. I took it to mean Rick Wright has flown away to different pastures - much like the guy on the cover rowing into the sunset/sunrise??? I think DG is probably glad the whole Floyd thing is over. Now he can do what he wants to and not what the fans expect him to. Or maybe it's a reference to a gilded cage - who knows?
