Alternative Country - What would you recommend? - TraceNspace - 18-11-2011 I still haven't done much Beatles listening though I've come to realize I know most of their songs already! They have been there all of my life. The problem is you can't get The Beatles on Spotify or anything like that and I don't have extra cash right now to buy.......but I think I will take my laptop and burn some CD's at my friend Mikes place when we go to Miami this month. He's a huge Beatles fan so I can get the albums from him. Yes, I was listening to Band of Horses on Spotify. I'd already really enjoyed The Funeral but hadn't given the rest of the album much of a chance. I like it. It's one that had to grow on me though. Thanks SteveO! For something with a tad more country I'd recommend Rose's Pawn Shop. If you like that I'll suggest some more. Alternative Country - What would you recommend? - JTStephens - 21-12-2011 I don't really like contemporary pop or hip-hop; examples: Jay-Z, Eminem, Beyonce, etc. The kind of music I'm really into is like techno and contemporary folk; examples: Daft Punk, The Great Wilderness, Such Handsome Silver, etc. Alternative Country - What would you recommend? - the nice dude - 21-12-2011 Billy Bragg & Wilco - Mermaid Avenue Woven Hand - Woven Hand Bonnie 'Prince' Billy - I See a Darkness Songs: Ohia - The Lioness I don't know if The Tallest Man on Earth qualifies as alt-country or not, but he's awesome anyway so I don't care.
