I just came accross an excellent list of the best electronic long-players of 2007. 2008 has barely begun so I feel it is still a good time to discuss the gems that came out in the past tweleve months. I have nine of the ten albums listed and agree with the list almost 100%. It comes from a poll on Resident Advisor.

10. False - 2007 [M_nus]
09. The Field - From Here We Go Sublime [Kompakt]
08. Onur Özer - Kasmir [Vakant]
07. Melchior Productions Ltd. - No Disco Future [Perlon]
06. Pantha Du Prince - This Bliss [Dial]
05. LCD Soundsystem - Sound of Silver [DFA Records]
04. Deepcord Presents Echospace - The Coldest Season [Modern Love]
03. Matthew Dear - Asa Breed [Ghostly International]
02. Efdemin - Efdemin [Dial]
01. Burial - Untrue [Hyperdub]

Personally I rank Coldest Season as number two for the year, but otherwise that list is very good indeed. What are others' thoughts?

Would anybody be interested in a thread/forum on film music?

The genre is big enough that it encompasses all of the different styles of music represented on the site. Plus, it would llink to the movie review thread.

Just a thought.
