so I heard this is going to be a great dvd coming out, coming from a huge huge huge steve miller band fan I might be a little biased lol but it’s called “live from chicago” I think and I can’t wait. For the die hard fans like myself this is going to be a collectors item. Sorry if I sound like spam lol, but I just really love this band…just needed somewhere to vent about it!

My views:

Punk in it's original form was about a DIY attitude, and a rejection of the necessity for traditional musical talent. I can happily enjoy music on both sides of the divide, but many musos dismiss punk as a talentless racket.

In my view punk returned rock music to the energy & excitement of the birth of rock & roll, and proved that ideas & attitude are at least as important to good music as musical prowess.

I'd just like to canvass the opinion of forum members that post more than adverts....

This site, like many others, tends to get bombarded with single-posts from individuals that post only to promote their "product". This annoys the hell out of me, as the individuals concerned don't contribute to discussions, and just post-and-leave.

On the other hand, a place like this can provide a diverse resource of info such as this, which members might value.

Strictly speaking, most of these should be deleted since they breach the forum user policy.

So, what do you think about these post & run members ??

I've been really getting into Martha Wainwright lately. I intern for Rounder Records, so I've gotten to listen to her new album, I Know You're Married, But I've Got Feelings Too. It's really amazing!
