YouTube listen

retired Queen drummer
seventh solo album
a very good album
almost apocolyptic sounding in places like Johnny Warman's "walking into mirrors" album
not sure if its conceptual but it feels like it to me
a cover of Lennon's "jealous guy", which is okay but not necessary IMO
South African Zulu band Ndlovu Youth Choir appear on three tracks after Taylor heard their version of Bo Rhap...
one song, "dont photgraph food" sounds similar musically to "coming soon"

well worth a listen folks!

ordered on vinyl and cant wait to hear the physical copy

the Lennon cover:   Roger Taylor & Jools Holland - Jealous Guy | Later... with Jools Holland

dont photograph food:  Don't Photograph Food

title track:  Violence Insane

the single:

Spotify listen:

made its debut on the UK "americana" and "blues charts this week
from the 'deep south'
album number 20 for him, a first for me
experts call his music a combination of Delta Blues and Country
mainly just his smooth soulful voice on here with acoustic guitar for company
beautiful album,
on the "to purchase" list, a keeper and a winner in one package for me

heres a couple of links:

Fussing and Fighting

Keb' Mo' - Hand It Over - feat. Soweto Gospel Choir (Official Audio)

and my favourite:

YouTube listen

their twenty-fifth studio album
mostly left over tracks from their Hackney Diamonds sessions where they recorded 30 odd tunes
loved the first three singles.
album is okay from a first up listen, it may or may not grow on me
but at this stage it passes the grade

YouTube listen

newish album, released back in April...
German Prog-Rock band
sophomore album
opening track feels like we are heading towards Dream Theater territory, but that only lasted for one track
im not really proggy but i hear familiar elements of:
Zombies "oddysey & oracle", Procol Harem "shine on brightly", maybe some Styx and Jethro Tull in places.
a decent album

a couple of links:

Fighting Dragons:  Fighting Dragons

High School Reunion:  High School Reunion

The first track to be released from their upcoming album which is due out on 28th August. Two titans of guitar here - no flashy stuff, just unhurried, well put together, confident, quality music. They have collaborated before, on Rothery's The Ghosts of Pripyat - also the same drummer and bassist as for that album which speaks to good working relationships and a certain level of sympatico. I think it shows.

The title of the new, all instrumental album is The Roaring Waves - who needs lyrics with these two in the driving seat?? Good call gentlemen - I am looking hugely forward!

Mr Latimer is proving prolific lately. Although I suppose some of these might be resurrections, if the title is anything to go by! There is diddly info at this stage.

Another very pleasurable 35 odd minutes with an especially lovely outro - that guitar! On Bandcamp if anyone wants to listen ...
