So I am not sure where to post this. Also, I am not sure why I didn't think to share this earlier.
A friend of mine started a site called Myfreeconcert.com and basically it posts all free music thangs and events happening in New York City, sorry to all the folks who don't live in NYC. Also, there is an email list you can join ( I think it is on the site if not you can ask me for the link to join) where the creators keep you up to date about music happenings and events. It is pretty rad.
