JASON BLUM "radio dial"
picked this one purely for the cover art as it looked interesting..
tried to find info on Blum but nothing to be found on either allmusic
or wikipedia...
aol description does also say "sounds like Tom Petty/Tom Waits"...
that is pretty accurate in places,mostly Waits feel than Petty though.
also a bit of mexican "cantina" feel on two tracks, a bit of a jazz feel
on the last track, and not really Neil Young, but i could definately see him
singing the title track in another place and time...
all up a very good album IMO, nothing i dont like on a first up listen, and most of this
has potential to keep growing on me...this is now on my end of year purchase
list for 2013....good stuff and certainly up there with my favourite new releases
so far this year that i have listened to!
