DIDO "girl who got away"
fourth set from Dido...
best known for Eminem's sample on "stan" thirteen years ago,
but there is more to dido than that, her first two albums sold a combined
20million units, her third(which i dont own or never heard) didnt sell
as many as those ones, now five years on from that one, she releases this one,
love her voice,so soft, melodic and hypnotic IMO.
sticking to the formula that helped her sell millions previously, this isnt a
bad album by any means, but the sound is getting a bit tiresome for me.
still the introstective lyrics, still slightly electo in sound, bits of celtic here and there
and dark in places.
not bad, but i dont think i'll be getting it, i'll stick with "life for rent" and
"no angel"...
1.6 from me here this time round and the link is for my favourite track on the album
after one solitary online listen...
from the album:
"no freedom"
