its just a shame that i think that he will be known as a 'one hit wonder' though...he probably doesnt care though as he could probably retire on that song alone

Gotye got really lucky. I mean the hit was great, but unfortunately now it's like will there be another? Will anyone notice that he has talent? or is this the end? The rest of those hits are kind of what you would expect because they are what you find in clubs or teenage girls listening to.

there'll certainly be more Gotye albums Penny....he has already released three or four with his band The Basics, and also two solo sets in his career....

i just dont think he'll ever have another world wide hit as big as "somebody that i used to know"

and now the Aussie media has got the 'tall poppy syndrome' thing again...saying he doesnt deserve 'aussie music awards' because he's not an Aussie...i mean, big deal, he came here from Denmark or Holland or wherever when he ws a toddler, no different than Bee Gees or ONJ and the list goes on!

tall poppy syndrome....is whereby the media try to cut down and criticise anyone who has "made it"...they dont do it very often here, but it is rife in the UK media who seem to criticise anyone from businessmen through actors, sportsmen etc etc when they get 'big and famous'.
